Adherence to Publication Ethics: General Provisions

The editorial policy of the Collection of scientific works “Pedagogical Innovations: Ideas, Realities, Perspectives” is guided by the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The publication’s editorial policy is based on the following principles:

• Objectivity and Impartiality: Fairness in selecting articles for publication.

• High Quality Standards: Rigorous requirements for the quality of scientific research.

• Expert Peer Review: Involvement of objective and competent reviewers.

• Collegial Decision-Making: Transparency in decisions regarding the publication of articles.

• Accessibility and Responsiveness: Prompt and clear communication with authors.

• Copyright Compliance: Strict adherence to intellectual property laws.

• Timely Publication: Maintenance of the journal’s official release schedule.

• Editorial Independence: Freedom from the influence of founders or commercial interests (in accordance with WAME principles).

• Integrity in Metrics: Rejection of artificial citation manipulation and prioritization of substantive research value over journal metrics (in accordance with DORA principles).

The Editorial Board strongly condemns plagiarism as a violation of copyright and scientific ethics and takes all possible measures to prevent it. Furthermore, the Editorial Board strictly prohibits any form of cooperation with the aggressor country. Manuscripts affiliated with its institutions will not be considered, and individuals representing such organizations will not be involved in the peer-review process.
Privileged information or ideas obtained by editors as a result of handling the manuscript will be kept confidential and not used for their personal advantage. Editors will recuse themselves from considering manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships/connections with any of the authors, companies or institutions connected to the papers; instead, they will ask another member of the editorial board to handle the manuscript.

Authors must adhere to publication ethics, avoiding simultaneous submission of the same material to multiple journals, plagiarism, and data manipulation. Reviewers and members of the Editorial Board are committed to providing impartial and competent reviews while maintaining the confidentiality of received materials. The Editorial Board carefully investigates all disputed cases and violations, making corrections or retracting materials when necessary.
The Editorial Board adheres to the principles of non-discrimination and equal treatment of all authors, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship (excluding restrictions regarding the aggressor state), or political views.

Activities of the Editorial Board

Authors receive detailed instructions regarding formatting rules, the editorial and publishing process, submission deadlines, and publication dates. The Editorial Board:

• Defines criteria for evaluating materials and selects reviewers for each specific manuscript.

• Evaluates materials for relevance and significance to researchers and readers.

• Monitors the scientific level of the content and provides necessary clarifications.

• Ensures transparency regarding the scientific focus of research teams from scientific and educational institutions.

• Provides suggestions and comments regarding the content and form of the scientific material and, if necessary, returns the article to the author for revision.
  The Editorial Board strictly adheres to a policy of preventing citation manipulation. Editors and reviewers are categorically prohibited from requiring authors to include references to articles from this journal (or any other publication) as a condition for the acceptance of a manuscript. Any recommendations regarding citation must be based exclusively on scientific necessity.

Cooperation with Authors

Before submitting a manuscript, authors must ensure that their material meets the specified requirements. The article must align with the journal's profile, have not been previously published, and not be under consideration by another publication. The text must include all essential structural elements as specified in the "Author Guidelines" section.

Responsibilities of Authors:

• Bear full responsibility for the accuracy of the submitted material, including citations, statistical data, proper names, and illustrative materials.

• Ensure the novelty, reliability, and originality of the research results.

• Avoid excessive borrowing and any form of plagiarism (including self-plagiarism).

• Address all deficiencies in the article according to the comments of the Editorial Board and reviewers.

• Declare any presence or absence of conflicts of interest related to the submitted manuscript.

Articles submitted in violation of these requirements will not be accepted for publication. Any instance of plagiarism detected by the Editorial Board constitutes absolute grounds for the rejection of the article.

Upon submission, the author guarantees that:

• The content is original and contains no borrowings without proper citation or prior agreement.

• The article has not been published in other editions.

• The article is not a rework of previously published articles and contains new material or a new scientific interpretation of known facts.

• All co-authors are correctly listed, and no person who is not a co-author is included; all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the article and consented to its publication.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to minor literary editing and proofreading while preserving the author's style. By submitting materials, authors agree that, if accepted, their work may be placed in electronic databases with mandatory attribution and full retention of copyright. If an author discovers significant errors in a published article, they are obliged to notify the editor immediately and cooperate to rectify or retract the material as soon as possible.

Authorship Policy. We adhere to the principle that authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the work. The status of an author implies that every person listed as an author:

– developed the research idea, collected data, or analyzed the results;

– drafted the manuscript or critically revised it, adding scientific value;

– reviewed and approved the final version before submission to the editorial office;

– accepts responsibility for the content of the article, the accuracy of the data, and the absence of plagiarism.

Individuals whose contribution consisted only of funding the research or general supervision of the department/unit cannot be considered authors; their help may be mentioned in the "Acknowledgements" section.

 

Cooperation with Reviewers

Reviewers are provided with detailed instructions for processing articles. A reviewer must notify the Editorial Board if they detect any instances of plagiarism. Reviewers are expected to act objectively, impartially, and maintain complete confidentiality while contributing to the improvement of the quality of published materials.

Responsibilities of Reviewers:

• Review all manuscripts without bias.

• Adhere to the review deadlines established by the Editorial Board.

• Treat the manuscript as a confidential document and do not share it with third parties.

• Do not use data or insights from the manuscript for personal or professional gain before publication.

• Provide an objective, reasoned, and constructive assessment of the work.
  
  
  

  Plagiarism and Self-Plagiarism Policy

  The Editorial Board maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, holding authors personally responsible for the originality of their text and the legal use of third-party illustrations or data. All borrowed materials must be properly formatted in accordance with citation standards; the reuse of one's own previously published materials (self-plagiarism) without appropriate referencing is unacceptable.

  To avoid plagiarism when quoting, it is necessary to:

  • use quotation marks for verbatim excerpts;
  • ensure the quote remains accurate within the context of the sentence;
  • use ellipses (a space and three dots) to indicate omitted parts of a quote;
  • use square brackets for any added authorial comments or clarifications.

  The submission of a manuscript automatically certifies that the work does not infringe on any existing copyrights and contains a sufficient amount of new scientific material.
